About
About
Mycelium is a display kinetic typeface inspired by the organic forms, nature, and growth.
Mimicking the meticulous yet complex root systems of fungi, this 3D typeface started as a custom made font which later transformed into complex groups of 3D roots that wrap themselves around the silhouette of each handmade character.
The final result is a collection of ethereal shapes that seemed to have grown into existence.

Impact
Mycelium is controlled chaos—through meticulous weaving, the typeface takes on a life of its own, unapologetic and unrestrained.
The result is a surprisingly versatile typeface, capable of transforming its root length, density, and appearance completely. It can emit light, mimic blood vessels, or even take on the look of metal.
Whether evoking themes of nature, horror, or industrial aesthetics, Mycelium thrives in a variety of environments, much like fungi, when used as intended.
